UDINZ are pleased to be able to offer members the chance to hear from Australian based Phil Schoutrop, Director, Principal and Precincts Sector Lead at, UDINZ member, Buchan.
In an increasingly competitive and dynamic urban landscape, questions are being asked on how we create mixed-use precincts and destinations that stand the test of time?
Phil is visiting New Zealand to engage with peers and partners across the development and design sector, and is keen to share his practical thinking on how to create precincts that are commercially viable, community-focused, and built to endure based on lessons learned from delivering major mixed-use developments and precincts across the Asia-Pacific region. He has signaled that he thinks that the answer to the above question lies in long-term vision, design-led partnerships, and integrated delivery models that respond to place, market, and opportunity.
